What is an earth block making machine?

Are the earth block making machines easy to use?

Yes. All of our earth block making machines have been designed to be operated by one person. Sure you can involve others to assist, however the principal manufacturing operation is easily achieved by one person. Earth block making machine operating instructions are recognisable by easy to follow labelling.

How does the earth block making machine work?

Earth Blocks Ltd have designed 3 different models of earth block making machine to ensure that the end user has maximum benefit. All of our earth block making machine models are powered by built-in hydraulic systems. For the hydraulic systems to function an external power supply is required. This could be either electrical power from the mains or hydraulic power from varying plant options.

How does the earth block making machine make blocks?

Raw material is transferred into the chamber located at the top of the earth block making machine. The chamber of the earth block making machine is then closed and a piston compresses the chamber contents. All of our earth block making machines have a factory fitted pressure relief valve set at an optimum bar preventing overload. Once the raw material has been compressed, the chamber of the earth block making machine is opened and the earth block is pushed up and out of the chamber.

Can I make different thicknesses of earth block?

Yes. Our earth block making machines have a standard block size of 385mm x 215mm. Thicknesses of earth block can range from 50mm – 160mm. This is simply achieved by adding more or less raw material. If desired, a mould can be introduced into the chamber of the earth block making machine to produce shaped earth blocks.

Can I hire an earth block making machine instead of buying one?

Yes. Our Standard Earth Block Machines are available to hire. These models of earth block making machines require no electrical power and are easily connected to remote hydraulic-power sources such as tractor units, diggers, fork lift trucks or portable diesel/petrol power-packs. When you hire our Standard Model of Earth Block Machine we have included 6m of hydraulic hosing to allow the chosen power source to be located a comfortable distance from the operator.
